PC USB ECU Infrared Transmitters by GEWA AB

The GEWA Progress Star, Progress Micro, Control Star, and Control Micro are stand alone USB infrared transmitters for sending infrared signals from a PC or PC-based AAC device.

Plug these into a PC's USB port, load the supplied Progress PC software (#425328), use the on-screen images to navigate through the pages, and transmit infrared environmental control signals. There are two versions of each of these devices: The Progress devices are to send signals from a PC using the GEWA Progress PC program; the Control devices are for use with AAC programs like Tobii Communicator.

The graphic displays make finding and selecting the wanted actions obvious. All units can "learn" IR codes from other remote control devices such as those for TV, video, or stereo systems. The screen is dynamic, and the information displayed can be arranged according to the needs and wishes of the user.

Progress Star and Progress Micro come with Progress PC dynamic display software to send infrared signals directly from your PC. Simply plug the Progress Star or Progress Micro into a PC's USB port, load the Progress PC software and use the on-screen graphic displays to make finding and selecting the wanted actions obvious. Both units can learn IR codes from other remote control units such as those for TV, DVD, and cable.

The Control Star and Control Micro are intended to be used with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) software programs like Tobii Communicator by Tobii ATI.

Progress Star has two switch jacks to allow scanning of the Progress PC software, while the Progress Micro relies on other forms of computer access to operate the transmitter. Likewise, the Control Star has two switch jacks while the Control Micro does not.

Progress Demonstration CD.

Progress PC, the software delivered with the Progress Star or Micro, is available at no charge in a demonstration CD. It can be used for changing various settings or to understand the workings of the unit. The program has the same appearance as in the Progress PC in use but doesn't allow the IR codes to be transmitted. Request the CD from ZYGO or get the latest version of Progress PC from GEWA AB.
