ACCESS Prog by GEWA AB |
GEWA Access Prog is a programmable IR transmitter adapted for persons with cognitive or motor problems and/or visual impairments. The Access Gewa Prog can "learn" all functions from other IR transmitters (for TV, CD, video etc.). It is also easy to control many other devices and thus simplify every day life for people with disabilities, e.g. control an IR telephone, open the door, or control the elevator. Access Prog is an enlarged-key version of the famous GEWA PROG (Control Prog). All of the same functionality is there, including scanning. For those who need the enlarged keys (3/4 in. [19 mm] diameter), this may be a viable option. |
The IR transmitter can be used with direct access and/or with scanning. Single or multiple
switches can be used to operate the transmitter. The IR transmitter has 36 large keys where
symbols can be attached. There are 205 programmable functions divided into six levels. Each of
these levels can be "opened" as the user needs more functions. There is one channel
reserved for strict access control for security. |
Access Gewa Prog can send a series of signals, which means it is possible to reduce
the number of "keystrokes" to perform a specific function. By recording a macro in a key,
you can press one key and the transmitter will automatically perform a number of "keystrokes"
in sequence. |
It is possible to program the transmitter and make a backup file of the functions and
setting using the PC utility software which is included. It is also possible to use the computer
to create overlays for each level to remind you of each button's function. A number of PCS
symbols are included in the program. |
